Linda was born in 1951 in Birmingham, England, and has travelled extensively worldwide. She fell in love with Australia when she first visited in 1974 and now holds dual Australian-British citizenship. Since 1989 she has created her own unique performance style, which includes dance, art, story-telling and music. This stems from her interest in traditional cultures around the world, especially those of Aboriginal Australia, the Pacific Islands and Bali. She has given hundreds of dance performances, workshops and individual sessions. Spiralling Home Turtle Dancing is her first book and covers a period in her life from August 1988 until May 2004. Linda believes dance, music, art, breath, colour and story can take us out of ourselves, out of life's ups, downs and roundabouts and through unwanted patterns of behaviour. Linda's dance comes from a timeless space and it is her way of wishing people well. Linda is now writing a series of stories for children. She is married and lives and works in London. For information about Linda's performances, workshops and individual dance sessions please go to the Events and Contact sections of this website. |
